I met Patience through her brother in law Rick. I met Rick when I was at Roots Workshop , he came into the ice cream shop I was covering with his two adorable boys. I asked if I could take some pictures of the boys and gave Rick my card so he could contact me for them later. It just so happened his sister in law had just gotten engaged in June and was looking for a photographer. One thing led to another and with a generous helping of perfect timing I was able to photograph Patience and Matt’s marriage! It was a wonderful experience from the location, to the family, to Patience and Matt themselves!
Now if you are thinking “does she mean June of this year” you would be correct. That’s right – Patience planned this wonderful wedding in 4 months flat! Quite an amazing act of sheer focus and will power. All of her hard work paid off and the day, right down to the weather was perfect!
The wedding was a huge family affair! Patience was getting ready at the Wesley Hotel and her aunt did her makeup.

Her sister helped her get into her gown.

Buses took everyone from the Wesley Hotel to the location!

In some ways, this image says it all :)

The Kiss!

We are married!

There were quite a few I loved from the formals, they could be their own blog post! I will just put a few here:)

I believe this is my favorite…

Patience and Matt had an extended cocktail hour that gave them lots of time with their family and friends…

The wedding was held at the home of Matt’s parents. It is a converted barn and is a special place for the whole family.

At sunset the party moved into the tent for dinner – starting with wonderful speeches by the best man and maid of honor!

First dance!

The Sultans of Swing were the band for the evening – wonderful!

I haven’t known Patience very long but this was common throughout the night – big love for her family and friends!

To see even more images from their spectacular day check out their slideshow! – get comfy, its about 8 minutes long! ENJOY!!
Patience and Matt – your day was wonderful and I was so glad to be a part of it – Thank you!
All my best,
Audra
P.S. Patience left me a wonderful review on Pictage after the wedding – the feelings are definitely mutual:) :
As soon as we met Audra over coffee, I knew. She was warm, interested, professional and experienced. She asked us what we wanted in our photographs, but also what we didn’t want. My favorite memory of Audra from our wedding is the one of her lying on her belly in a hay-filled field, between rows of white, wooden chairs, aiming to get the sun’s rays at just the right angle…..amazing. It worked, it is probably my favorite shot out of them all! I would highly recommend Audra to anyone who wants a special memory captured. Whenever we have kids, I know who I’m going to call to come and photograph them. Sincerely, Patience
