Cinnamon Toast

November 27, 2007

This one is for Erin and Cinnamon Toast is the name of the technique I used on this photo. You may recognize this photo from the gallery except that it was except it was black and white. Erin said it looked like a floating head and when I got my new tools she asked me to revisit – so I did and I think it looks yummy – just like Cinnamon Toast!

New for 2008

November 26, 2007

Over the next several weeks I will be posting images of some of the new products that Bayette Photography will have for 2008! First up is one a coffee table book for your children/family session. I have so many mothers asking me what their options are once the session is complete and I am quite pleased to finally be offering albums! The sample is hardcover, a huge 11×13 and includes 20 pages of images – some full page images and some collages. These albums can be customized to have more pages and images, to include all full page image or all collages or a mix of both! I can’t wait to show the mom!

toughest assignment yet!

November 24, 2007

hello all!

today I had my toughest assignment yet – I did a family session for my sister, brother in law and 2 nieces! What makes it the toughest ever is my nieces! They are so used to me taking pictures of them that they won’t sit still – they think its just like any other session!

On top of that I finally bought some Totally Rad Actions so there is no way tonight I can post the best three! I picked several of my sister and brother in law that I liked and one of the girls and started playing around with the new actions… here is what I have for tonight – but stay tuned tomorrow b/c I will post a series from the day, some previous session with new actions and some new stuff!

for those of you who read my other blog you know I am at the end of a major kitchen renovation – a to the studs, remove the sink, live without walls and in sheet rock dust for 8 weeks kitchen renovation. The renovation actually bled over into a entryway, bathroom, kitchen renovation – it was a big deal.

I won’t lie – its been tough, and for those who have been through something similar you know the kitchen is the hardest room in the house to renovation because you use it SO MUCH! Even if you don’t cook you might be surprised how much you would use it if it was there to use. But things are nearing completion and while I don’t want to do any before and after pictures until all the finish work is done (artwork hung, trim on window, pot filler installed) I did want to post a couple of sneak peeks – areas of the kitchen and entryway that are particularly great, I can’t wait til I am all done and you can see the entire thing! :)
